I’m honored to be co-leading a session at the NASW Virginia & Metro DC Annual Conference focused on the real-world intersection of culture, identity, power, and ethical decision-making in social work practice.

This session explores how culture, identity, power, and lived experience shape ethical decision-making in real-world social work practice. Ethical dilemmas rarely show up in clean, clearly defined scenarios. They emerge in complex clinical and systems-based situations shaped by culture, identity, power, and inequity.

Event details for a session titled "Weaving Culturally Responsive Practices with Ethical Decision Making," scheduled for March 27, 2026, from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM ET, including a brief description of the session content and the names and pictures of two speakers, Aminah Mellion and Sharita Crawford.
